95 YEARS YOUNG, A HISTORY

For nearly a century, the War Resisters League community has found affinity not through race, class, or religion, but through the collective desire to live in a world free from the violence of war and oppression. From refusing to participate in civil defense drills as early as 1955, to providing educational resources that counter the anti-immigrant and Islamophobic rhetoric of today, WRL’s been organizing against the racist, sexist, and exploitative systems that promote cultures of fear and ultimately root war for 95 years.

2018 AWARDS

Each year, we grant a Peace Award to folks in the movement embodying revolutionary nonviolent resistance. This year we're proud to honor The Peace Poets and Corinna Gould.
