Omar Barghouti, an independent political and cultural analyst, has published essays on the rise of empire, the Palestinian question and art of the oppressed.  He contributed to the book, The New Intifada: Resisting Israeli’s Apartheid (Verso Books, 2001).  He is a founding member of the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI.org).
