LITERATURE AND ORGANIZING RESOURCES
Volunteers Needed

The War Resisters League designs, produces and distributes thousands of pieces of literature and organizing resources each year, including books, brochures, organizing guides, buttons, t-shirts and a range of current and classic anti-war posters.  We need volunteers to help us fulfill the dozens of orders we receive each week from activists across the country, all working to end war and to create a more peaceful and just society.

Can you answer phones, pack orders, sort flyers and brochures?  Do you have  experience working with online stores?  Skills in PHP or Zencart? Are you a graphic artist with experience designing tshirts, posters or other resources?  If you have a few hours a week or many hours a week, to give, it’s all helpful.

Come and get involved in the day-to-day, on-the-ground work of providing resources to peace and justice activists around the country.  You will have fun, connect with amazing activists around the country and, most importantly, you will make a difference.

We’re looking for volunteers for 5 hours a week or more who have:

  • Energy and a  positive disposition
  • Patience and careful attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work both in a group and independently
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to nonviolence and the philosophy of the War Resisters League.
  • Some knowledge of the peace and justice movement.

FUNDRAISING
Volunteers Needed

The War Resisters League relies heavily on financial contributions from our members and supporters. Throughout the year, we plan a number of special events, including our annual Peace Awards, benefit concerts, film screenings and discussions and promotional events for our Annual Peace Calendar and other publications.  We produce several fundraising mailings each year, with special materials designed for each. We are looking for enthusiastic, social individuals who believe in our vision and philosophy of nonviolence and who are interested in helping to strengthen and maintain the financial health of WRL, enabling us to continue our work for peace.

Can you answer phones, stuff envelopes, sort flyers and brochures?  Are you willing and interested in learning any of these skills??  If you have a few hours a week or many hours a week, to give, it’s all helpful.

Come and get involved in the day-to-day, on-the-ground work of supporting the War Resisters League.  You will have fun, meet new people and, most importantly, you will make a difference.
