Friday August 5th.  

4:00PM: at Dag Hammerskjold Plaza - East 47 St between 1 & 2 Aves, NYC.

Musical performances by Ray Korona, the Raging Grannies, The Peaceniks, Russell Daisey, Bruce Markow and special guest from Japan singer/songwriter, Shinji Harada. There will be art activities including origami crane making as well as an educational exhibition for a Nuclear-free world.

5:30PM: United Nations Church - 777 First Avenue @ 44 Street, NYC.
Commemorative Interfaith Ceremony lead by Rev.TK Nakagaki with religious leaders; messages from the mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; Keynote Speaker, Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, former Under Secretary-General of the UN; and Hiroshima survivor Tomiko Morimoto West,.

7:15PM: Dag Hammerskjold Plaza - East 47 St between 1 & 2 Aves, NYC.“A Peal for Peace” bell ringing ceremony at the exact moment of the Hiroshima bombing.  (August 5th at 7:15PM in NYC and in Japan on August 6th at 8:15AM). Bring your own bell to participate.

Saturday, August 6th from 3pm- 7pm at Judson Church fence, 55 Washington Sq. So. (at Thompson St.), across from Washington Square Park in Manhattan, NYC.  The NYC War Resisters League will display an exhibit of text and photos on this 66th anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

Saturday, August 6th at 12:00pm at 230 Mall Blvd, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The Brandywine Peace Community is sponsoring a Hiroshima Day Demonstration & Nonviolent Resistance

Tuesday, August 9th at 7:30 p.m., on the Market Street Bridge, 2955 Market Street, across from 30th St. Train Station (east side), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Brandywine Peace Community will hold a Nagasaki Day candlelight vigil and ceremony

Tuesday, August 9th at 6:00pm Picnic. 7:00pm- 9:00pm program at Woodrow Wilson School Plaza, Washington Road/Route 571 (near intersection with Prospect Street), Princeton. Join us for CFPA's Annual Commemoration of the Atomic Bombings- BYO Picnic. 

Tuesday, August 9th from 5 to 7 pm at Washington Square Park in Manhattan across from Judson Church, 55 Washington Sq. So. (at Thompson St.). The NYC War Resisters League will join with Kairos Community and Catholic Worker for a vigil, as well as displaying the Hiroshima/Nagasaki exhibit.
