War Resisters League - Our Story

100 YEARS YOUNG, A HISTORY

For a century, the War Resisters League community has found affinity not through race, class, or religion, but through the collective desire to live in a world free from the violence of war and oppression. From refusing to participate in civil defense drills as early as 1955, to providing educational resources that counter the anti-immigrant and Islamophobic rhetoric of today, WRL’s been organizing against the racist, sexist, and exploitative systems that promote cultures of fear and ultimately root war for over 100 years.
