Pie Chart Flyers - Where Your Income Tax Money Really Goes

Where Your Income Tax Money Really Goes - FY2025

ORDER NOW!

Perfect for Tax Day leafletting, as a focus for forums and panels and workshops and more!

The new War Resisters League's famous "pie chart" flyer, Where Your Income Tax Money Really Goes, analyzes the Federal Fiscal Year 2025 Budget (FY 2023 is 1 October 2024 - 30 September 2025. This FY2025 issue was published in March 2022.

Each year War Resisters League analyzes federal funds outlays as presented in detailed tables in "Analytical Perspectives" of the Budget of the United States Government. Our analysis is based on federal funds, which do not include trust funds - such as Social Security - that are raised separately from income taxes for specific purposes. What federal income taxes you pay (or don't pay) by April 15, 2024, goes to the federal funds portion of the budget.

The workshop, co-created with the Ya-Ya Network, highlights the successful cross-community organizing initiated by Oakland, CA’s Stop Urban Shield Coalition.

On U.S. Escalation Against Iraq and Syria

Ahlam: Kites and Shattered Dreams by Maysaloun Faraj, 2011

Military Intervention is Not the Solution!

In recent months IS has spread a wave of oppression and violence that goes well beyond the headline-catching executions and massacres to affecting millions of Iraqis and Syrians through fear, exploitation and gender-based violence. Now 12 years into the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of Iraq, we witness how militarism expands violence and destroys hope rather than creating lasting solutions to ongoing crisis.

Solidarity with Occupied Ferguson

Police in Ferguson, Missouri

"No violence, just justice." - Lesley McSpadden, mother of Michael Brown.

War Resisters League condemns the ongoing militarized lockdown and attack against the community of Ferguson, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. We are saddened and outraged over the murder of 18-year-old Michael Brown by Ferguson Police, this past Saturday, August 9th. We stand in solidarity with the work of community members to connect, resist police violence, and transform their grief into power.

The Time to Stand with Gaza is Now

Gaza Beach by Amir Schiby

On July 8th, Israel unleashed a brutal and sustained military offensive on the people of Gaza, who have already been confined to an open-air prison by the decade-old Israeli blockade and sealing of Gaza's borders. Bombardment from air, land and sea is killing hundreds, displacing tens of thousands more and targeting hospitals as well as other infrastructure crucial for survival. The reports on the atrocities are horrifying and the resistance and resilience of the Palestinian people continues to provide global inspiration.
