Suzanne Ross

Dear friends, In the introductions to WRL's recent book, We Have Not Been Moved, the mini-biography of contributor Suzanne Ross was inadvertently cut short. At this time when her work to free imprisoned journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal has become more crucial than ever, we wanted to correct that omission by including her full mini-biography here, as well as including the web address of the coalition to free Mumia. Thanks for your attention to this matter, and to helping to build the Mumia movement.

Matt Meyer, Editor

Dr. Suzanne Ross is now a key organizer in the movement to free political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal, implementing the vision she espoused back in the 1980’s: building a single-issue movement while also being committed to the larger struggle for peace and justice, working to thereby strengthen both movements. She continues to do international solidarity work and practice her internationalist politics in the context of the Free Mumia movement. She travels to countries such as Venezuela and Cuba in support of those revolutions and has attended international conferences and gatherings in France. Germany, Great Britain and, most significantly, in Algeria, as an international spokesperson for the International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal.
